Interesting way to get yourself in DEEP trouble. BEST way in the world to tell the world all your private business that you really should be keeping private. I'll pass

Common wisdom would seem to suggest that more and better communication would be better, but experience is showing that it creates more problems and mis-communications. To much communicating and very little understanding. Animals don't speak the same languages and yet they can understand each other. Another indicator that the human ego is larger than anything in the universe. Until we, as humans, realize that we are not the most important thing in the universe, we are doomed and we will take everything else with us.

Would rather listen to natural twitter of birds in my back yard. Man-made twitter is just a waste of time. Life is to short.

I signed up for twitter to see what the big deal is. I don't care for it. Reading about what a senator ate for dinner or a family member doing a routine chore is nothing to get excited about.

I use it to receive news headlines, concert tour updates, sport scores, weather, things like that. It's annoying when people use it to update what they're doing of no importance to me (just used the bathroom, eating cornflakes, etc.). It's also a quick way to let all of my contacts know if there is something happening that they may need to know about (Stuck in traffic, will be ten minutes late, can't make it to the movies tonight, etc.).

Personally, I think Twitter could be fun if it featured more than what it already does. I feel like a stalker though when you "follow" people around. The same goes for myself, having people "follow" me makes me feel very uncomfortable. The bottom line is: Twitter seems to be overrated and it becomes boring real fast. I know, because I've tried it and just like social networking Web sites, they become a wearing experience after awhile.

Seems like a lot of fuss over something with such limited utility. I suspect it will be a fad that comes and goes... but a lot of e-mail addresses may get harvested by spammers.

I find Twitter annoying. Why would you want to constantly let everyone know what you are doing?? My wife uses it and updates it quite a few times each day...I just don't understand why people would want to waste time on things like this.

I have clicked the "follow me on twitter" links from articles of interest only to find the limited material to which they lead insufficient motivation for me to sign up to gain access beyond the landing page for futher investigation. True to its name which already connotes a flighty, fleeting nature, it appears comprised mostly of insignificant spontaneous thought-casts tantamount to the insubstantial noise of birdsong - "tweeting ones own horn", you might say. All the while and possibly by design, effectively and indiscriminately broadcasting your every move and current whereabouts for advertisers and other (possibly predatory) individuals to track. IMHO? Twitter is for twits.

Who wants to be constantly connected to the outside world? What ever happened to privacy or down time for yourself. We are letting personal interacting get lost. Anticipation of face to face interaction is gone.

Haven't been there, don't plan to. Who cares what people are doing all the time anyway? I know how to get in touch with all my friend and family and if I want to know what/how they are doing, I will either call, email or visit them. For the same reason, i also don't do myspace... there are enough people in my life, I don't need to fill it with others I will never meet.

I don't care about any of the social networking stuff. I think it is fine for getting in contact with friends, etc. But I think people put too much value on what others think. No one questions validity anymore. why do i care what some star is doing that day. who knows if it is real. They don't care about you or me. It is just feeding their ego. Most actors and people of fame that post on twitter have no connection to the everyday grind that the rest of us face. They are pampered and coddled and then pretend that they have it tough. I don't want to hear how they think the world should be or what they do for it or what they think in general. most of them are just mindless twits that are spoonfed things and can't make up their own mind and just jump at the most popular view to boost their popularity. In short, Twitter is just another sign of the mental decay that racks society today.

I've never heard of it and by the sound of comments above, I don't want to hear or know about it! People need to get out and interact with the world instead of typing on a screen all day ( probably while driving). I agree with Tracy. I barely access myspace anymore! Who has the time?? I'm too busy outside during the summertime and don't want to be bothered!
