Nothing in particular - too much work on to get out and enjoy it as much as I would have liked.

We haven't been able to take a vacation in so many years due to my husbands cancer. Well, he still has the cancer but we took a little vacation this year. We went to San Diego and spent some time on the beach and saw a few sights, it was a great thing to do.

Summer is over? Wow! I didn't even know it begun. Well, I worked all summer and never got a break, so I can't say there was any highlights during the hot season--unless you consider me getting my first ever novel started a highlight. That's about it

Two of my married children and their families spent a month with us, (that makes 13 people in all) They live at different ends of the country, so we were all together and had a great time. Lots of work, but lots of memories. Thankfully we have a huge pool which was great entertainment for all!

The highlight of my summer was taking off to visit my sister and making our own family reunion by going to visit relatives we rarely see. There aren't too many of our family left, which seems to heighten our awareness of a need for family. We visited aunts, uncles and cousins. Learned things about family history we didn't know before, found out our father had an uncle we didn't know existed and even though they are passed on, we have cousins we didn't know before. Also learned about a skeleton or two in the closet. Planning to do this again next summer. This was all planned only 2 weeks in advance, found great air fares and everything, it just all fell into place.

Turning 49 and taking a Whitewater paddling vacation - class 3- class 6 - 4 days of rivers in NC and TN and being very thankful I could do it sucessfully when 5 yrs ago - I had the highest Asthmia classification and could not leave the house - due to ot being able to breathe - discovered it was the result of a severe dairy allergy --- this trip make me realise God gave me my life back....... way too cool.

Taking the kids to Buffalo, NY to visit the Buffalo Zoo, catching a pre-season NFL game with Chicago Bears vs. Buffalo Bills. Riding on the Maid of the Mist to get a close up view of Niagara Falls both American and Canadian sides. Being able to watch the kids enjoyment of getting a little wet from the mist!
