I'm really was excited. My husband helped me in the kitchen making my famous macaroni and cheese (he hasn't in years) and so it was fun, warm, flirty, and exciting. The chemistry was awesome. In addition to that i celebrated my birthday the following day and he wowed me by taking home dinner and movie. This is a plus because my hub has failed in romance dept in the past so for him to make a deliberate effect to spend the night with me and take the time from work ( which is rare)says a lot. So I really look forward for this week and to top off the celebration, Monday we found out we are having a BOY!!

Just relax, continue to write my memoir's in book form, and enjoy the season at hand. Looking out my window I see the trees begin their hybernation and just enjoy what they represent, I take my cue from them.

Finish off the turkey, stuffing, gravy and pumpkin pie. Wait for the arrival of Christmas which will not be the same this year as we are wintering in Arizona and have no family in this area. Ah yes, and anticipate what 2010 will bring.

Had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my in-laws and then went shopping at midnight for the Black Friday deals and got a lot of great stuff! Thank God for Black Friday! Without it, we wouldn't have an opportunity to bless as many as we are able to!

I will spend about three days fixing an enourmous dinner. It is never a drudgery...I love to do it. The smiles it brings are worth every minute of labor.

I went and spent time with my late ex wife's family. I even took my new girlfriend. They treated us just like we were family. It was a pleasant surprise.

First, I will cook for days, pumpkin pies, cookies and anything else I can prepare in advance. We will give thanks for our blessings with two of the kids coming home for the day, one with their significant other, we'll have a big turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, pie and pack on a few pounds, then we'll play around the kitchen cleaning up and then watch a movie, play games and talk about what's been going on in our lives. We always have a great time together. We will forgo the Friday shopping madness this year, though I like to go, few are willing to go out the door before daylight with me, so, we'll relax and eat leftovers for a couple days. Friday is also our 33 wedding anniversary, so we will celebrate that somehow. We always manage to have fun. I am blessed.

I'm spending Thanksgiving with my family. My sister is coming home (Wisconsin) from Dallas. I'll work Black Friday so my co-workers can shop. I'll take my Mom shopping on Saturday. That way it will be a lot more enjoyable and easier on her.

Well, we actually planned to have dinner at our house for our family - mom, dad, sister, brother, his two young boys, and his girlfriend. There came a knock at the door. It was our neighbor's boyfriend, letting us know that our poor neighbor's mom passed away Tuesday and they'd been spending the day cleaning out all the hospital equipment and getting the house ready for visitors after the funeral service today. They had no plans for Thanksgiving, so we insisted that he get mom, Jennifer and their little nine month old daughter to share Thanksgiving with us. It breaks our hearts to know that my poor neighbor, as young as she is, is now an orphan. Maybe we'll end up becoming sort of an extended family for her since she has no siblings. But our hearts go out to her.

Since I don't have any family other than my spouse, I plan to spend the weekend doing my favorite activity: cooking! The whole works, just for two. Also we will be going to a show on Sunday, and Saturday we cut the Christmas Tree at a local tree farm. Then we start decorating!

Two of my kids said they would bring dessert. We are going to out talk each other and laugh. But we will all remember and think about the one that is overseas. In recent years, my husband and I have had a quiet Thanksgiving dinner - one child in Denver who comes home for Christmas and one in Chicago spending time with her husband's family - sometimes our son would be here. This year our daughter from Chicago is coming and her husband is doing the main cooking! I was just recently laid off and can spend time baking! We have much to be thankful for!
