walmart was very crouded& hectic. but all&all it was worth it. igot everything i wanted&saved alot of money.

Mostly working - my clients are not in the US (or in such consumerist societies) so it wasn't a holiday for them.

My neighbor and I forgot it was Black Friday until we got to the store then we saw the crowds! What on earth were we thinking? :) We went to 3 stores and were back home in less than 3 hours; pretty good considering the crowds.

In all the years that I have been alive this is the first time that I have gotten up at 5:30am to go to a store. That was quite an experience. It really made me smile, can't wait for next year.

I never ever go Black Friday shopping, but this time I had to because I was filling an advent calendar with fun stuff for my sister and the only time I was going to see her was Black Friday, then not again till after December. I shopped at Ulta at like 9am was back home by 10 in time for the family wine tasting trip. I loved it! There was only a small line, people were not out on the roads(or maybe they were already at the mall) and I totally got my shopping done. After wine tasting we braved Black Friday again, this time at TJ Maxx. Same thing...no crowds, very small line, tons of room to browse..was great!!! I think perhaps as long as you stay away from the malls and obvious big draws like Walmart..you might just be ok. :) Happy Holidays all!

This year, black Friday happened to be the same as our 33rd wedding anniversary. I didn't shop, though I have in the past, because I just don't have the funds to shop right now, but I did spend the day with my husband, ate leftovers, went out to a movie, "Planet 51". We had a nice day together, at least until a toothache developed, which has turned out to be an abcessed wisdom tooth that must come out. So, I'd say the highlight was celebrating our 33rd anniversary and seeing a movie in a theater which we seldom do anymore since they have gotten so expensive.

I have never been one for going shopping at the break of dawn the day after Thanksgiving. Besides, those that do don't really have the true meaning of Christmas in mind. I've only heard negative things about "Black Friday". That kinda of atmosphere where people are stressed about long lines, or fighting over the last item on the self seems to bring you down after just giving thanks the day before. Just a matter of opinion.

THERE WAS MANY GREAT DEALS ON BLACK FRIDAY. SOME DEALS WERE THERE, AND I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT UNTIL I GOT INTO THE STORE. I WOULD RECCOMMEND TO EVERYONE TO SHOPE ON BLACK FRIDAY.

I finally got to purchase my cannon camera was 249.00 and I got it for 179.00 I had waited 2 months for the price to drop so Im ready for christmas photos I will have good memories

Took the husband shopping for new cellphones {hes never gone anywhere on Black Friday} Got to hear him say I was right and he was wrong. He will never make me go ever again. I warned him what it was like. Instead I got to see and very loudly hear him swear and flip out. needless to say i will never go shopping with him anytime soon.

Great deals at walmart in the electronics dept. even in clothing. tv

Stayed home all day! Do you ever notice how Black Friday also always happens to be one of the coldest days of the season? Tried it twice, won't ever again

well i didn't get up at 4 a.m but i did go to penny at 7 and i got some things that i needed to get half price.

Spending the day with my mother like I do every year. We get up early and shop for Christmas, its a tradition.

I had to work on black Friday believe it or not. Fortunately, I didn't go shopping as I knew the stores would be crowded. Instead I went home & relaxed with my husband after work. I'm probably venturing out sometime this week but not till the evening hours.

Me and my wife got up early and went to Wal-Mart, worked or way back to the electronics to get one of the advertised lap-top computers. They were (of course) sold out already, 6:05 A.M. We then went to Target, their lap-tops were gone as well, no lines in the store though, nice experience. Last chance Best-Buy, got lap-top I'm writing now and didn't have to wait very long to checkout.

I did not get too excited for any sales, but I did enjoy people watching in the mall, watching some strange looking people passing by. It was fun to sit, sipping a latte and watching the hustle bustle of holiday shoppers.

Seems that it was a very good day for me, I won the lottery for a grip of money!!!!

I never went shopping just stayed at home.

A day off away from the crowds!!

I always take my daughter and two grandaughters to the toy stores on this day .I let them pick out their two favorite gifts and I purchase it for them for Christmas.They love to do this as we always go to lunch of their choosing and we just enjoy some quality time together.I always make sure they both purchase a gift to give to children who do not have anything also. My feet is sore and my back aches but oh what a great time with my two favorite women shoppers.

after reading the comments on Black Friday (something always thought was crazy to stand outside in the freezing cold for a bargain), in january everything most people want will be on sale, from clothes,cars, jeweler,etc.this is a great time to purchase for the following year, especially if you have growing children.(a size or two larger). believe me it works

Stayed home while the rest of the family went out & faced the crowds,didn't get much sleep,& were disappointed when the item they wanted wasn't there?lol

This year the excitment of "Black Friday" was diminished by the exaggerated, elongated method in which it was conducted.

I must have missed it. Too busy enjoying life in the Lord.

Kohl's opened it's doors ten minutes early so I only had to stand in line outside in the freezing cold for five minutes!

Was in Princeton,NJ and had lunch with my son and grandaughter who flew in from CA and my daughter & grandson. Son bought my Xmas present not in a mall.

It was fun went with the kids and enjoyed every moment of it. Yes there were many good sales.

I have never shopped on a black friday due to work. I decided that I would go out to celebrate - it was my birthday too. Go ahead I'll take happy belated.. so I decided to walk rather than drive and I am 6 month pregnant.. HAHA need less to say all I remember was the pain and cramps when I came home. I didn't buy anything really but it was just great ot be out on black friday!!!

I didn't do anything special for Black Friday, I just did my usual routine.

My highlight was going to work so others could get up really early to shop.

I don't shop on Black Friday, to many people, lines way to long when checking out. There are much better deals the closer it gets to Christmas. I don't shop on weekends, or early in the mornings. I enjoyed my day at home putting the the last of the Christmas decorations up.

Sleeping in and decking my halls!

I got up and went to Walmart where I patiently waited to get a MP3 player. Me and several women stood talking, while 1 man came up looked at us. Then he looked at the crate with the mp3 players and noticed that it had a place open on the plastic wrap. He looked at us reached in and took a mp3 player and said"I dont know why you girls are waiting". He then took off. Over the next 25 minutes 3 other men came up and did the same thing. The women were appaled and commented several times how men were impatient and didn't know how to shop. All this time I was thinking. I wish I had brought my husband. As they were getting ready to un-wrap the crate I finally said" wish I had the nerve as those men did. Then I could have made sure I had gotten one of the other things I wanted. All the women cracked up and said they were thinking the same thing but didn't have the nerve to say it. We all vowed to bring the husbands next year despite their complaining.

Friday is my day off so I decided to sleep in, no way would I go out to a sale at those hours.
